Electroencephalography (EEG)

This plot represents the measurement of electrical activity of the brain through electrodes placed on the scalp.

This test which allows the analysis of epilepsy, is the decryption of brain waves of types delta, theta, alpha and beta.

We distinguish :

  • Standard EEG of the awakened patient

  • EEG by intermittent light stimulation

  • EEG of the patient asleep with video recording.

 

Indications:

  • Epilepsy and Headaches

  • Stroke

  • Encephalitis

  • Head trauma

  • Encephalic death (Dead brain)

WARNING: An EEG trace without any pathological sign does not exclude the existence of a disease!
